I really do want you to feel at home. I have some interesting tips, so that you come as a guest and leave as a local.

Cathedral of our lady

You can admire impressive art of Rubens (and did you know you can have a drink in the café IN the cathedral? They have their own beer: Memento Mori (remember that one day you will die). And admire the statue in front of the entrance of ‘Nello and Patrasche’.

MAS –  Museum Aan de  Stroom

Go for free tot he roof terrace for the amazing view.

Pedestrian tunnel – Voetgangerstunnel – Sint Jans Vliet

A hidden treasure! Take the Art Deco wooden rolling stairs of 1933 and walk under the river.

Main Square

Visit the fantastic city hall.

Brewery De Koninck

A very nice and interactive tour with tasting.

Ruien

Not many tourists know that you can visit Antwerp through the sewers. Fascinating!

Sint Carolus Barromeus

Beautiful church and if you are lucky you can admire a wedding at this nice square.

Church Sint Andries

You can spot Father Rudi sometimes at a terrace, but he preaches in dialect. Some statues have clothes of famous fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester and sometimes he plays ‘God is a DJ’ (kid you not).

Plantin Moretus Museum

A ‘must see’.

KMSK – Koninklijk Museum Voor Schone Kunsten – Royal Museum of modern arts

Recently opened, after years and years of restauration. Absolutely worth it. Not so much into arts? The building itself is already worth the walk.

Open air market

You can shop for fruits, veggies or homemade pasta. And you can eat very cheap. Antwerp

people start their weekend here with a glass cava.

Theaterplein              Saturday 07:00 – 16:00 hrs   Sunday 07:00 – 13:00 hrs
